Holy Sepulchre Announces Name and Logo for New Henrietta Site

Ascension Garden, a Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is announced with a new logo—construction has begun at site

ROCHESTER, N.Y.---Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, founded in 1871 announces the development of a new Catholic cemetery in Henrietta, N.Y. Ascension Garden, A Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Pinnacle and Williams Road approximately 1 mile west of Mendon Ponds Park. The 109 acres of Ascension Garden will further the dedication to Christian burial for all members of the Catholic Faith Community. Construction has begun at the site and will ultimately accommodate about 100,000 burials plus niche spaces for cremations.

“A great deal of thought and contemplation has gone into the name and logo for Ascension Garden,” said Holy Sepulchre Executive Director, James Weisbeck. “We chose this name and this logo to fit in with the overall Holy Sepulchre feeling of peace, serenity and environmental beauty. Combined with the new logo, the name Ascension Garden portrays the reflective nature of this site.”

Construction has begun on the first phase of the site—a 32 acre area where Ascension Garden will have its main entrance, a landscaped entrance, a decorative stone façade embracing the Pinnacle Road gateway, a large storm water management facility and a water feature to enhance the main entrance. Further, paved roadways will delineate the varied burial sections and each section will be landscaped to provide additional beauty and serenity to the area.

Grand opening is targeted for 2010.
